Shrewsbury – Yvonne Samy Abdelmessih, of Shrewsbury, died Monday, June 3, 2013 at home. She was 82. She is predeceased by her husband, Ghobrial Ghobrial.
Born Aug. 5, 1930 in Cairo, Egypt she was a daughter of the late Samy and Mofeda (Abdelkdos) Abdelmessih. Raised and educated in Egypt, she immigrated to the United States Aug. 20, 2012.
Yvonne leaves her children, Adel and Atef Ghobrial, both of Geneva, Switzerland, Emad Ghobiral of Shrewsbury, Mona Ghobrial of Cairo, Egypt and Essam Ghobrial of Los Angeles, California; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Yvonne's life by gathering Tuesday, June 4, in Saint Mary's Vineyard (of St. Mark's Coptic Church of Boston), 74 Gould St., Charlton, where her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Lazarus Cemetery of Charlton.
