Shrewsbury – Barbara E. Sherman, of Shrewsbury, died Monday evening, June 4, 2013 in UMass Memorial Healthcare. She was 78.
She was born on May 28, 1935 in Milford, a daughter of the late Francis G. “Frank” and Dorothy M. (Goddard) Sherman. Raised in Milford, she lived many years in Leicester and Northborough before settling in Shrewsbury over 30 years ago. She worked many years at the former Muir's Cleaners in Worcester.
Barbara was predeceased by her siblings, Francis W. Sherman and Dorothy M. Kenney, and her nephews, Mark. D. Sherman and Steven M. Kenney. She leaves her sister, Patricia A. Gilchrist and her husband, John, of Shrewsbury, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her much loved cat, “Addie.”
A private family graveside service will be held in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Milford. There are no calling hours.
