Obit Cathy Lee AtteridgeShrewsbury – Cathy Lee (Brunelle) Atteridge, 59, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully Sunday, July 21, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, at the Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Cathy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Donald E. and Patricia L. (French) Brunelle, and was raised in Shrewsbury and Westborough. She graduated from Westborough High School.

She worked for several years for the former Data General Corp, and then spent 27 years working for Sprague Electric/Allegro Microsystems in Worcester, where she was a tactical marketing representative.

Cathy loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed spending time “on the boat” as she called it, spending time on the beach, long country rides with her husband, and family gatherings, which included her pool parties and Saturday night cards. She also enjoyed knitting and donating her scarves to the Cotting School, along with shopping and reading.

Cathy leaves her beloved husband of 25 years, Brian J. Atteridge; her three children, Melissa A. Clark and her husband Cade of Millbury, Paul J. Bondanza of Framingham, and Tracy L. Bondanza of Florida; her three sisters, Patty Mandella and her husband Donald of Auburn, Joan Atchue and her husband Bruce of Westborough, and Lisa Erlandson and her husband John of Hudson; her four grandchildren, Lindsey Clark, Ayden and Ashtyn Bondanza, and Madison PanGallo; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Cathy's family Tuesday, July 23, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Homes, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 24, with the family gathering at the funeral home at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Tpke. (Route 9 East), Shrewsbury. Following cremation, burial services will be private.
