083013When President Barack Obama touched down at the Marlboro Airport in April 2010 to view local flood damage, excitement quickly turned to dismay for Robert Stetson, the airport's owner, after heavy Marine helicopters and ground vehicles accompanying the president severely damaged the airfield. Stetson subsequently filed a claim with the U.S. Secret Service alleging $676,000 in damages.? (Stetson died in April 2012.)

An agreement has finally been reached between Stetson's wife, Sandra and the Secret Service to compensate for the damages. The terms have not been released but an attorney representing Stetson said he believes the deal is a fair.
