Grey family thanks fundraiser volunteers and supporters

To the Editor:

The Grey family would like to thank all those who planned, supported, encouraged, and contributed toward the success of “A Day for Judy Grey.” The Aug. 24 fundraiser for Judy's battle with MDS or Myelodysplatic Syndrome (www.mds-foundation.org) was only as good as those who participated. Our family is overwhelmed by all the individual contributors who made such a difference in the outcome.

The family would like to especially thank the Rychlik family for their sponsorships, donations, and many years of friendship. Also, a sincere thank you to the Westborough DPW for the generosity shown not only on that day but every day ongoing during Judy's illness! Special appreciation goes to the team who took care of the many details needed to have an event like this. Those who sought out supporters and sponsors, coordinated the where and the when and made it all happen: Janet (Grey) Collins, Gary Goodro, Jill Grey, Sharon Horne, and Genea Rychlik.

For all those that came to the tournament and later to the K of C, your being there meant everything. We hope everyone had as much fun as our family just sharing the evening with friends and family. If all goes to plan, Judy receives her transplant at UMASS on Sept. 4!
