Ski Barn celebrates grand reopening
Westborough – The Ski Barn will celebrate its grand reopening with special deals on adult and junior ski and snowboard packages. The outlet will hold two special sale events in October. The first will be a sidewalk sale held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Oct. 4-6. Customers will save 30-70 percent on close-out and leftover skis, snowboards, parkas, and pants. On Columbus Day weekend, the Ski Barn will hold a ski swap for customers to trade in used kids” skis and snowboards for new ones. The Ski Barn is located at 187 Turnpike Road (Route 9 West), in the Green Thumb barn. Fall festival at The Green Thumb
Westborough – The Green Thumb, Inc., Garden Center, 187 Turnpike Road, will hold a fall festival Sunday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature a sidewalk sale, face painting, raffles, music, games, a photo booth, and baked goods and hot cider. There will also be pie-eating and egg-toss contests; advance registration required. The sale will include fall favorites such as mums, kale, mixed fall planters, corn stalks, straw bales, pumpkins and gourds. The center's Sunflower Café is now open serving soups, sandwiches, baked goods, and coffee. Open house at Worcester Academy
Region – Worcester Academy, 81 Providence St., will hold two admission open houses for prospective students this fall: Sunday, Oct. 27, for the Upper School, grades 9-12, and Sunday, Nov. 3, for the Middle School, grades 6-8.
