Tower Hill Botanic Garden to host “Harvestival”

Boylston – Tower Hill Botanic Garden will be hosting “Harvestival,” a family celebration of the fall harvest season, Saturday, Oct. 12 through Monday, Oct. 14, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come for this special three-day weekend which features live animals, heirloom apples, locally made products, and children's crafts. Tower Hill will be turned into a virtual farmland, featuring beautiful displays of garden produce and a farmer's market, and taste-testing tours of the famous antique apple orchard (2 p.m. each day) with 119 varieties of pre-20th century apples. Hayrides will be offered, weather permitting. Tower Hill is located at 11 French Drive, Boylston.

Fay School to host early childhood education fair

Southborough – The Fay School is hosting a Metrowest Early Childhood Care and Preschool Education Fair Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 – 11 a.m. at Fay's Primary School, 25 Middle Road. Meet with daycare centers and preschools located in Metrowest Massachusetts in one location during one morning. While you are there, you and your child can take part in Halloween arts and crafts projects to take home.

Positive Results Hypnosis to offer free “stop smoking” programs

Marlborough – As a way of giving back to the community, Positive Results Hypnosis is offering a free stop smoking program Sunday, Oct. 20, and again on Sunday, Nov. 10, to be held at the Best Western Hotel, 181 Boston Post Road West, Marlborough. In the two hours it takes to watch a good movie, a smoker motivated to quit will leave as a non-smoker with no urge, craving or desire to smoke. The program is offered with support from the Best Western Hotel and the Community Advocate.
