Marlborough – William C. Richards, 63, of Marlborough, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare, following an illness of several months.
Born in Waltham, he was the son of Juliette (George) Richards of Framingham and the late Dr. William A. Richards, formerly of Framingham, and the stepson of the late Jean (Manzella) Richards.
Bill attended Newton North High School, where he was a member of the football team and graduated in 1968 from Natick High School.
A kind, gentle man, he loved music, especially the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, spending time with his friends, and was an avid sports fan.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his brother, Bradley Richards and his wife Susan of Franklin, and his sister, Daphne Bjork and her husband Robert of South Dennis.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 9 -1 0 a.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Grove Street in Framingham.
