To the Editor:
I encourage voters to support the Shrewsbury Library Project. The library is so much more than a library; it is a community center at the hub of our town.? The Shrewsbury Library has an average of? 1,000 visitors per day, which is proof of how important it is to residents.? It truly has something for everyone and is a gem of our community.
For residents who are not familiar with our library, I strongly urge you to discover all that it has to offer. ?I guarantee that there will be at least one thing which peaks your interest. The library is currently open seven days a week, plus the staff maintains a timely and comprehensive website.? I recommend that you sign up for the “This Week at the Shrewsbury Library” electronic newsletter.
Every single day the Shrewsbury Public Library is filled with activities, events, classes, resources, volunteer groups, technology and of course books and other publications – the list goes on and on.? Folks of all ages have access to a wide variety of services which the library makes available to the public.? In addition to supporting and enhancing Shrewsbury, it is a vital thread within the fabric of our greater community.
Our town needs to actively support the renovation and expansion of the Shrewsbury Public Library; a true community center.? It would be foolish not to take advantage of receiving the state grant which is affording us the opportunity to complete the library project. ?In order to make this happen, we must come together and pass a “YES” vote.? Please keep in mind that every vote counts take the time vote “YES” for our library on Tuesday, November 5. It is the smart choice for your family and for Shrewsbury.
