Grafton – The Central Massachusetts Division 1 defending champion Shrewsbury High School Colonials met the Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks for the Central Mass. field hockey title on Nov. 9 at Grafton High School.? The Colonials were the number three seed while the Tomahawks were the eighth seed.
The two teams battled evenly for regulation, which ended with the score tied 0-0.? With 5:28 minutes left in the first overtime period, Shrewsbury's Christa Doiron was able to score and give Shrewsbury the win, 1-0.? Shrewsbury will now meet Longmeadow High School in the state semi-final.
