St. Matthias Parish to hold Christmas Bazaar

    Marlborough – St. Matthias Parish will be holding its Christmas Bazaar Saturday, Dec. 7 from? 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

    All are welcome to visit the St. Matthias crafts table, the traditional greens table, and the many vendors that will be selling their own specialized crafts.

    There will also be a raffle for items? including: $500 cash prize; handmade crocheted afghan ( Joan Abshire original); gift certificate to Annie's Book Swap; gift certificate to Wildwood Steakhouse; and an elegant necklace. Tickets are $10 for a book of 12 or $1 per ticket.

    There will also be a special raffle where only 100 tickets will be sold per item. Those tickets are $10 each and the prizes include: four tickets to “Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles,” donated by John and Megan Quinn / Citibank Corp.;? two tickets to the Boston Celtics versus the Houston Rockets ?Jan. 13, 2014 game, donated by Bernard Brown; a Lottery Ticket Tree; and several gift baskets.

    Shoppers are also invited to enjoy the array of goodies at the Parish bake table and take a lunch break with a grilled favorite or homemade soup.

    Santa Claus will be onsite as well, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    The church's Parish Hall is located at 409 Hemenway St. For more information call 508-460-9255.
