Marlborough – Mayor Arthur Vigeant recently met with the membership of Marlborough High School's Student Council to hear their opinions on a variety of city issues, including how the city can better communicate with its youth and what improvements students would like to see to the city's athletic fields.

“The Student Council and I had a terrific meeting,” Mayor Vigeant stated. “They provided some great feedback and raised some important issues I look forward to working on.”

Mayor Vigeant stated that this meeting is the first of several he intends on holding with students to hear directly from them about the issues and programs important to them.

“In my first term, we established a youth employment and internship program to provide students with real world experience. In my second term, I will not only look to build on the success of these initiatives but will also identify ways our youth can have a stronger voice in our community,” he said.
