Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury's pay-as-you-throw customers will get an after-Christmas gift again this year, after the wrapping has been torn off the presents. Customers will be allowed to place, at no charge, an additional 35-gallon plastic trash bag on their pick-up day between Dec. 26 and Dec. 31 for non-recyclable wrapping paper.
In addition, the town will haul away customers” live Christmas trees free of charge.
According to Town Manager Daniel Morgado, the town has been allowing the free bag pick-up annually for a number of years.
