Shrewsbury – William “Billy” Cotton, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Needham, entered into rest Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at the age of 59. He was the beloved husband of Gretchen (Quinn) Cotton.
Born in Piqua, Ohio, he was the dear son of Joyce (Mallen) Cotton and the late Joseph Cotton. He was the devoted father of Meghan Cotton, Sarah Goncalves and her husband Rogerio, and Chelsea Cotton; the loving brother of Barry and Wendy Cotton, Jeff Cotton and Beth Crastnopol, Donald and Sue Cotton, and Betsy and Bob Gilman; the cherished grandfather of Julia Marini and Hailie Rose Goncalves; and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 2, at 10 a.m., at Temple Beth Shalom, 670 Highland Ave., Needham. A memorial observance will be at the home of Jeff Cotton and Beth Crastnopol.
