What is RenovoMD?

“We are a cosmetic medical facility and laser center, practicing aesthetic medicine. Our procedures are non-invasive or minimally invasive, designed to enhance appearance. Everything we do here is medical; we don's offer any basic spa-like treatments,” said Dr. Jean Casello, a medical doctor who started the practice in 2008.

“I's on site full-time, and I do the more aggressive procedures. We have an esthetician on staff who is very experienced and administers treatments under my direction.”

And you'se moved to a new location?

“Yes, we moved to Northborough in November. Our new location provides easier access for patients and more visibility,” Dr. Casello said. “The Northborough community has been very welcoming to us and we know we will be very happy here.”

What are some of the newest procedures you offer?

“We are excited to be one of the first practices in the area to offer Voluma, a new volumizing product that was designed for cheek enhancement with results lasting up to two years. Right now we get nine to 12 months with fillers,” she said.

“Also, we'se doing a lot more aggressive types of facial resurfacing, including CO2 resurfacing, which is the gold standard to treat scars and deep lines and wrinkles. It's a more invasive treatment, but the results are more profound because we go deeper into the skin.

“We feature two methods of non-invasive body contouring. One is CoolSculpting, which freezes the fat. The cells swell and rupture, and the fat is eliminated by the body. We get about a 20-percent reduction from a treatment and it's permanent.

“The other body sculpting treatment is Exilis, which melts fat and tightens skin. This method is better on the face or neck area. I usually use it when the patient has sagging skin, and I want to both reduce fat and tighten the skin.”

You can remove tattoos?

“Yes. We offer laser tattoo removal as well as chemical removal treatments. It really depends on the colors of the tattoo and the type of ink originally used. Yellows and reds are more difficult to remove; black is the easiest. Several treatments may be necessary to remove or lighten the tattoo, but we are seeing great results.”

What other services are available?

“We have been getting more into nipple reconstruction for patients after breast cancer surgery. Not only can we recreate a nipple with permanent cosmetics, we can also reconstruct the nipple with filler product for a natural appearance.

“We also provide permanent cosmetics for the face such as eyebrows, eye liner, and lips. Imagine waking up and not having to put on makeup!

“We'se added superficial laser peels to our treatment portfolio for light resurfacing and to remove pigment, fine lines, and wrinkles. The downtime is very minimal, so patients love this procedure.”

Are these procedures covered by insurance?

“The majority of the cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance, but some may be covered depending on the medical nature of the treatments. We recommend that patients contact their insurance company to verify their coverage.”
