Nomination papers available for Hudson Town Election

Hudson-large-web-iconHudson – Nomination papers for the Hudson Town Election are now available for interested candidates running for municipal offices. The Annual Election will be held Monday, May 12.

The offices to be elected at the Annual Town Election for 2014 are as follows: selectman, one three-year term (incumbent Christopher P. Yates); moderator, one one-year term (incumbent Richard T. Harrity); School Committee, two three-year terms (incumbent Jennifer O”Brien) and one one-year term; trustee of benevolent funds, one one-year term (incumbent Diane C. Buchanan); Housing Authority, one five-year term (incumbent Joseph G. Leandres); Municipal Light Board, one three-year term (incumbent Joseph J. Marinelli); Park Commission, one three-year term (incumbent Michael Scafidi); Board of Health, one three-year term (incumbent Patricia Sarsfield Emmons) and one one-year term; library trustee, one three-year term (incumbent Barbara O”Kane) and one one-year term; Planning Board, one three-year term (incumbent David Daigneault); Cemetery Commission, one three-year term (incumbent Leonard T. Bowen); constable, one three-year term (incumbent Cipriano S. Pinto) and one one-year term; Board of Assessors, one three-year term (incumbent Brian G. Bowen); and Vocational Regional District School Committee member, one one-year term.

Registered voters who are interested in running for office should visit the Town Clerk's office, 78 Main St., to pick up nomination papers. All nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk's office no later than Monday, March 24, at 5 p.m. In order to appear on the ballot, a candidate must obtain 50 registered voters signatures in the town.
