Hudson – Cub Scout Pack 4 of Hudson will host the Unified Pinewood Derby Friday, Jan. 31, at 6:30 p.m., and continuing Saturday, Feb. 1, at 12 p.m. at Mulready Elementary School, 306 Cox St., Hudson.
On Friday evening, participants will build their own miniature cars from kits. No special skills or tools are needed. On Saturday, following pizza and ice cream, the races will start. Every child will race at least four times. All racers will go home with a souvenir and their cars.
The purpose of the Unified Pinewood Derby is to provide a fun activity to children who may have special educational, physical, or development needs. Boys and girls in kindergarten through high school are welcome to participate. There is no cost.
