Grafton – Lewis J. Dittelman, 64, of Blackberry Lane in Grafton, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Herr) Dittelman for 35 years.
Born in Providence, R.I., son of the late Elliott and Eleanor (Copelof) Dittelman, he had lived in Grafton, previously residing in Westborough for 21 years.
Lewis was a recruiter for business and finance companies for over 30 years. He was a graduate of Bentley College. He was heavily involved with the Westborough Players Club, Westborough Community Chorus and was a Westborough Cultural Council volunteer.
He was the devoted father of Mark Dittelman and his wife, Hilary, of Shrewsbury and Eric Dittelman of Astoria, N.Y.; the adored brother of Irene Sacks of Las Vegas, Nev. and Helen Dittelman-Dolan of No. Attleboro; and the loving uncle of Rachael Dolan and Joe Herr.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 2, at 11:00 a.m., in the Priest Chapel in Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Rd., Warwick, R.I.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Dittelman, 184 Grafton St., Shrewsbury, Sunday 7 – 9 and Monday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m.
