Worcester – Susan M. (Wamback) Nordstrom, 61 of Worcester, formerly of Northborough, passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at UMass Hospital.
Susan is survived by her fiancé, Russell Danforth of Worcester; her son, Christopher G. Wamback of Goldsboro, N.C.; her mother, Marilyn M. (Arnold) Keigwin of Port Orange, Fla.; two beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Kaitlyn Wamback; her brother, Richard Wamback and his wife Donna of Northborough; three sisters, Kerry Martineau and her husband Donny of Oxford, Nancy Sorensen of Shrewsbury, and Eileen Keigwin of Sutton; and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Susan was born and raised in Northborough, where she graduated from Algonquin Regional High School. She has lived in Worcester for the past 30 years.
Susan was a waitress at Denny's for 24 years. She loved her dog, Harley, fishing and riding motorcycles with Russ.
Susan's funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 10:30 a.m., in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held Monday, Feb. 24, from 4 – 7 p.m., in the funeral home. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 1, at 4:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Mercy Maronite Catholic Church, 341 June St., Worcester.
