Schiffman appointed to Westborough Youth Commission

Westborough – Lauren B. Schiffman has recently been appointed to serve on the Westborough Youth Commission.

The mission of Westborough Youth and Family Services (WYFS) is to provide counseling for children and families, to promote prevention through collaboration with other town and community agencies and to provide education, programming and information which will enhance the lives of children and families in Westborough. The Youth Commission is a nine-member board appointed by the Board of Selectmen to oversee the direction of the WYFS department and to advocate for the needs of youth and families in Westborough.

As a commission member, Schiffman will support the organization's media outreach initiatives with the goal of helping to raise further awareness of WYFS” programs and services in Westborough.

“As a parent, I have a strong interest in the programming and resources available to my child and step-children. My passion for healthcare led me to seek a new way to help others in my community, and getting involved in the Youth Commission is a great way to do that,” Schiffman said.

Schiffman is the director of communications for Century Health Systems, parent company of The Natick Visiting Nurse Association and Distinguished Care Options.
