Dollars for Scholars launches new website

Marlborough – Citizens Scholarship Foundation (CSF) of Marlborough Dollars for Scholars? program officially launched a new website Feb. 28, through a new software tool provided by Scholarship America?, Dollars for Scholars” parent organization.

This new website, http://marlborough.dollarsforscholars.org, will allow the program to help students in the community access more scholarships. Through the website, students will have the ability to create an online profile to apply for and be matched to multiple scholarships – on both the local and national level – in just a couple of clicks.

CSF of Marlborough Dollars for Scholars was able to customize the website to meet its specific needs, including keeping the local community updated on chapter news, events and deadlines; providing information on what's going on in education on a national level; and giving students and parents a one-stop shop for chapter scholarships, educational resources, opportunities and events.

Diane Cronin, treasurer of CSF of Marlborough, and Pat Papalia, website coordinator, are excited with the launch of the new website.

“Without this tool provided by Scholarship America, CSF of Marlborough would not have had the resources to build out such a comprehensive online presence. This tool allows us to move our application process from a purely paper process to one which is 100 percent electronic,” Cronin said. “It also allows our students to become aware of other national scholarships for which they may be qualified – something that was not possible previously.”

CSF of Marlborough Dollars for Scholars encourages students to begin developing their online profiles now, to assure they are alerted about scholarship opportunities in advance of deadlines. All information will need to be completed online and scholarship matches accepted by Tuesday, April 15. In addition to scholarships, students will also have access to exclusive volunteer and internship opportunities that may be available to them, as well as a wealth of financial aid and college success tools and resources provided by Scholarship America.
