Region – Wegmans Food Markets has announced that Marlborough resident Ed Swantek will be part of the leadership team responsible for opening and managing the second Wegmans store to be opened in Massachusetts. The team consists of the store manager, chef, pharmacy manager, and area managers, who each oversee multiple departments in the store. The team has a combined total of approximately 77 years” experience as part of the Wegmans family.
Swantek started with Wegmans in 1996, working his way up from management intern, to seafood manager and then bakery manager. Now a merchandising area manager for the Chestnut Hill store, he will oversee all merchandising departments, including grocery, general merchandise, and liquor, and will partner with the other areas of the store to ensure products are well-merchandised and available for customers.
