Obit Joseph BelsitoWorcester – Joseph P. “Joe The Barber” Belsito, 39, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at UMass Hospital.

Joe is survived by his dad, Sal Belsito of Orlando, Fla; a daughter, Brittaney Pinho-Perdigao of Webster; a son, Salvatore Belsito of Worcester; a step-son, Jacob Amaros of Worcester; two brothers, Al Henrichon and his wife Kim of Auburn and Ernie Henrichon and his wife Pam of Downington, Penn.; a sister, Jodi Shields and her husband Richard of Napa, Calif.; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Joe's mom, Donna Hart Belsito, predeceased him in October 2013.

Joe was a barber and operated “Joe The Barber” in Shrewsbury; his many customers were also his friends. He had previously worked with his cousin at The Hairs Inn in Shrewsbury and before that he worked beside his dad Sal at Perrone's in Shrewsbury.

He was born at Wesson and Women's Hospital in Springfield on March 19, 1975. He lived his whole life in Worcester. He attended Worcester North High School and graduated from Rob Roy Barber academy of Worcester.

Joe loved to be around people, but was especially proud to be a dad. He will be remembered for his constant smile and great personality.

He absolutely loved his family and lived for his children. He will always be in our hearts and prayers. He is now back in his mother's arms. May she keep him close and watch over all of us, until we are all together again.

Relatives and friends and invited to gather for calling hours Monday, March 31, from 4 – 7 p.m., in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
