Obit Virginia WrightMoorestown, N.J.?– Virginia D. (Adamiak) Wright, 87, of Moorestown, New Jersey, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Lutheran Care Nursing Home in Moorestown, New Jersey.

She is survived by her daughter, Maryann Kozlowski and her husband William of Millbury, and her son, Richard E. Wright and wife Susan of Moorsetown, New Jersey. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Katie Kowalczyk of Millbury, Michael Kowalczyk of Worcester, Joseph Kozlowski of Millbury, and Alexander and Emily Wright of Moorsetown, New Jersey; a sister, Loretta Berry of Worcester; and her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Wright of Shrewsbury and Irene Adamiak of Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Wright, in 1977; two children, Michael and Katherine, whom died at birth; her sisters, Christine Hunter and Bernadette Rooney; and her brothers, Edmund and Harold Adamiak.

Virginia was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Katazyna Krol Adamiak and Stanislaw V. Adamiak.

She worked for American Steel & Wire in Worcester, and later worked in the Cafeteria at Shrewsbury High School for over 25 years. She loved working with the kids, and was well known for feeding children whom often couldn’t afford it. She retired in 1995 after a brief illness.

Virginia loved to travel; she had been across the world and back. Her favorite places included New Zealand, Prague, and Sydney, Australia. She was also very crafty, and enjoyed knitting and making Christmas decorations. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren; and in the later years of her retirement helped care for them.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Wright family Friday, April 4, from 5 – 8 p.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be Saturday, April 5 from the funeral home, with a funeral Mass celebrating her life at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Tpke., Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury.
