Shrewsbury – Dr. Nicholas Papapetros has been a dentist since 1991 and now owns Village Dental on Main Street in Shrewsbury.

Village Dental is a full-service dentist office that offers a wide array of dental services including cosmetic and family dentistry, Invisalign braces, dental implants, dentures, veneers and root canal therapy.

“We provide general dentistry from fillings to crowns, periodontics and gum disease,” Papapetros said. “I grew up in Quincy and I'se lived in Andover for 22 years. I'se had a practice in Andover and Salem, New Hampshire, for years.”

Papapetros lives in Andover with his wife and four children.

“I went to Colby College and graduated from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 1991,” he said. “Then I worked in Lenox Hill in New York and then I opened a dental office in Andover.”

Regular dental visits are essential to make sure oral health problems, from tooth decay to oral cancer, are detected and treated in a timely manner, Papapetros said. At his office, they make sure your teeth stay healthy, function well, and look great. They offer a range of services from regular cleanings and exams to advance restorative treatments using the latest technology like a three-dimensional x-ray machine to diagnose oral concerns and abnormalities using 90 percent less radiation.

“Our staff is attentive and provides excellent dental care,” Papapetros said. “Our dental hygienists make you feel very comfortable and, during our comprehensive exams, everyone is treated like an individual. We help you prioritize your dental treatments, and we can provide a lifetime treatment plan.”

“We are here to help,” he said. “We try to make going to the dentist the best experience it can be.”

Papapetros recently surveyed his current patients, and they gave him five out of five stars in the survey.

When he isn's working, Papapetros loves spending time with his family, especially watching their many sporting events. He also loves to fish and play golf. He recently returned from a fishing trip at Boca Grande.

The services he offers also include bonding to repair small chips or cracks; crowns and bridgework to replace large amounts of lost tooth structure and/or missing teeth; dental implants for long-lasting tooth replacement; fillings; oral cancer screenings; orthodontic treatment; periodontal (gum) disease therapy; porcelain veneers; dentures; root canal treatment and therapy; sealants; TMJ/TMD treatment for chronic jaw pain; tooth extractions; cosmetic dentistry; and Invisalign.

Village Dental is located at 622 Main St., Shrewsbury, and takes Delta Dental and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans. They also offer financing. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
