Region – Bands and choral groups from Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS), Northborough's Robert E. Melican Middle School, and Southborough's Trottier Middle School were among dozens of groups that performed at the 38th annual Concert and Choral Festival organized by the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA).

The festival was held April 4-6 at various locations around the state. Each group performed in front of a panel of adjudicators and their performances were scored based upon a set of predefined criteria.

The Trottier Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade band took top honors with a gold medal, the sixth-grade band was awarded a silver medal and the orchestra took home a bronze medal. The Melican Middle School's sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade bands were each awarded silver medals for their performances.

The ARHS Chamber Choir, Concert Choir and Camerata all earned silver medals, while
