Obit Earl EnglandMarlborough – Earl H. England, 69, of Marlborough, formerly of Hudson, died Monday, April 14, 2014 at The Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, M. Jeanne (Kenneally) England of Marlborough.

Earl was born in Tilton, N.H., son of the late Donald and Mina (Weeks) England. He was raised in Hudson, where he attended local schools and was a well-known and respected mechanic for Durand Chevrolet of Hudson for 51 years until his retirement. He also worked as a bartender at the Hudson Elks.

He was a member of the Hudson Elks Lodge; the Marlborough Moose Lodge, the Italian Americans (ITAM) Club in Marlborough, the Riverside Gun Club in Hudson, the Hudson Eagles, and Marlborough American Legion.

Earl enjoyed trap and skeet shooting in his spare time. He was an automotive enthusiast and loved to attend vintage car shows. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family who will miss him dearly.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Poirrier and her husband Robert of Naples, Fla., Stephen Kilburn and his wife Cidalia of Clinton, Dawn England of Hudson, and Dawn's son, Patrick England of Marlborough, whom Earl raised as a son. He was predeceased by his son, Joseph Kilburn in 2012. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, including Patrick; 13 great-grandchildren, and five nieces. He was the brother of the late Geraldine Keefe.

A funeral service and celebration of Earl's life will be held Friday, April 18, at 11 a.m., in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 17, from 5 – 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
