Westborough – The Westborough Recreation Commission voted unanimously to hire Alan Grady, the current assistant recreation director in Gorham, Maine, to be the new recreation director for the town of Westborough.? The search committee received 148 applications for this position and interviewed 10 candidates. Four finalists were recommended to the commission.
Grady has been the assistant recreation director in Gorham since 2005. Prior to that, he worked as the intramural coordinator for Florida Southern College.
Grady has a bachelor of arts degree in sociology with a minor in teacher education from the University of Southern Maine and a master of science degree in kinesiology with a concentration in sports studies from the University of New Hampshire.
His official start date will be April 22.
