Obit Laura LucarinoNorthborough – Laura L. (Lafayette) Lucarino, formerly of River Street, died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Marlborough Hospital after a brief illness. She was 88.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of Charles and Louise (Mosso) Lafayette, and was a lifelong resident of Northborough. Her husband, Harold “Lucky” Lucarino died in 1995.

She leaves behind three daughters, Linda Donovan and her husband Danny of Manomet, Julie Bove and her husband Jim of Canton, and Charlene McCann and her husband Sean of Northborough, and nine grandchildren, Abbie and Kelly McCann, Jim, Melissa and Michelle Bove, Emily, Meghan and Patrick Donovan, and Gina Lucarino.

Laura graduated from Northborough High School, class of 1943, and from the Worcester Art Museum. She was a substitute art and shop teacher for Northborough and Grafton public schools.

As a long-time member of St. Bernadette Parish, she also taught CCD for 33 years and was a member of the church choir. Her interests included knitting, painting, sewing and playing cards, and watching Animal Planet.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Monday, April 28, from 5 – 8 p.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Laura's funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 29, at 10:00 a.m., in St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main St., Northborough, followed by burial in Howard Street Cemetery.
