The day began with about 200 runners in the Rotary 5K Road Race sponsored by Westboro Tennis & Swim Club, beginning and ending at Westborough High School (WHS). Nick Cotton of Westborough finished first overall in 18.29. Katie Ka of Westborough was the first-place female in 21.59. A Kids Dash followed on the WHS track.
Among the other activities was a car and truck show at East Main Street parking lots sponsored by Central One Federal Credit Union. Avidia Bank sponsored family-friendly attractions at the Bay State Green including the roaming railroad, slot cars and a magic show performed by Fran Flynn. Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University hosted several activities for pooches including a race, spa and an amateur dog show.
