Westborough – The pink flamingos are returning to Westborough with the help of Senior Girl Scout Troop 30555. A flock gathers on your lawn or a friend's lawn to help celebrate a special event, such as a birthday, anniversary, retirement, college send-off, or just for fun. Troop 30555 is following in the footsteps of an older Girl Scout troop and is raising funds for a trip to Costa Rica in 2015.

Under the cover of darkness, the flock “lands” for 24 hours, after which they “fly away,” under the cover of darkness. Flocks cost roughly $10 per dozen flamingos, up to 100. For an additional $10, the troop will make a sign to shout out a message to your “flockee.” If you aren's interested in seeing a flock of flamingos on your lawn, you can also buy insurance for the prevention of flocking flamingos.
