Obit Ruth NiccollsShrewsbury – Ruth E. (Parker) Niccolls, 93, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully Friday, May 16, 2014 after an illness in the Life Care Center of Auburn. Her husband of 36 years, George E. Niccolls, died in 1997.

She was born in East Brookfield, daughter of the late Harold and Marion L. (Hall) Parker. She graduated from the David Prouty High School and later from the Becker Business School. She served her country proudly with the Women Army Corp during WWII.

She leaves a son, Reverend Edward D. Niccolls, Pastor of Saint Joseph's Parish in Auburn, and a sister-in-law, Carole M. Parker of Worcester, and also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Suzanne S. Niccolls; a brother, Wesley E. Parker; and very dear friend, Stephanie B. (Kalinowski) Niccolls.

Ruth had worked as a stenographer at Thompson Wire Company in Worcester before she left to become a full-time mother in 1961.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ruth's family Thursday, May 22, from 5-7 p.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury, and again Friday, May 23, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St. North, Auburn. ?A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with her son, Reverend Edward D. Niccolls, being the principal celebrant. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
