To the Editor:

The future of the Shrewsbury Public School system is at a breaking point. The town of Shrewsbury has always been known for the quality of its public education system.? It is one of the aspects of Shrewsbury that makes it a desirous place to live, increasing property values.?? Despite the incredible management talents of Dr. Sawyer and the tireless dedication of the teachers and staff who are continually expected to do more with less, the current proposed budget, without the passage of the override, leaves us all in an unacceptable position.?? Increasing class sizes, along with cuts in class and extracurricular offerings, diminish not only the quality of our children's education, but their growth and development as responsible, well-rounded young adults.??? Please vote yes on June 3.
