To the Editor,
On June 3rd Shrewsbury residents will be asked to vote on an operational override adding $1.15 per thousand dollars of valuation to our already low tax rate of $12.17. ?Even with this increase, Shrewsbury's ?tax rate will be among the very lowest in the state and up to 50% lower than some adjacent communities. ?The resulting funds for this will bring vital resources to a school district that is now in crisis with overcrowded classrooms, limited course offerings, out of date books and curricula. ?Shrewsbury has always taken pride in its excellent schools. ?We ask you to support this important vote.
