On Sunday, May 25, my friend Frank and I shopped at Price Chopper in Shrewsbury. I couldn's believe that my credit card was rejected until the clerk told me that the customer at the next register had paid my bill.
The shopper, named Gail, had noticed Frank's Navy hat and wanted to honor him for his service.
Frank served in World War II and saw service in the Pacific at Pearl Harbor in 1944. He has many memories – good and bad – of that time.
Frank and I thank you, Gail, for your kindness and may you have many blessings in your life for your thoughtfulness.
Sincerely,
Eleanor M. O”Connor
