Hudson – Maureen Anne (Chiasson) Young, 49, a longtime resident of Hudson, died unexpectedly Monday, June 9, 2014 at her residence.

Maureen was born in Waltham and is survived by her parents, Alfred and Jean (Muise) Chiasson of Marlborough. She was raised in Hudson where she attended local schools and was a 1983 graduate of Hudson High School.

Following high school, Maureen began her long career as a real estate agent residing in White River Junction, Vermont. She spent 10 memorable years there meeting many new friends and acquaintances. She returned to Hudson and continued her career locally as a real estate agent and was currently an agent with Keller Williams Real Estate in Westford.

Maureen's passion in life was helping others. She was a true believer in treating people the way you wanted to be treated. She volunteered for many local events and charities including the “Relay for Life” and “The Evening of Giving,” both held annually in Marlborough, and participated in the annual Jennifer Hunter Yates Sarcoma Foundation Walk. She also looked forward to attending the monthly GMPI Dinner Dance in Marlborough, contributing many wonderful memories for all its attendees. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family. She brought smiles and laughter to all who were truly blessed to have her in their lives.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her two children, Madison and Chase Young of Hudson, and their father, John “Jack” Young of West Yarmouth. She is also survived by her three brothers, Alfred Chiasson of Orlando, Fla., Daniel Chiasson and his wife Amy of Marlborough, and Paul Chiasson and his wife Beth of Wilder, Vt.; her two sisters, Claudine McManus and her husband Gerard of Hudson and Gayle Ripley and her husband Chuck of Marlborough; her many nieces and nephews; and her longtime special friend, Billy Corrieri.

A funeral service and celebration of Maureen's life will be held Monday, June 16, at 11 a.m., in the Grace Baptist Church, 353 River Rd., Hudson. Burial services will follow at Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc.
