Hudson – While Manuel Medeiros Cavaco, age 66, son of the late Arthur and Beatrice Cavaco, and lifelong resident of Hudson, left this great planet Tuesday, June 10, 2014, what he never did leave was a party hungry. Manuel had a voracious appetite for life, which was reflected in everything from his love for party bites to walking the el Camino and everything in between.
Manuel is survived by his son, Kevin Keating; his daughter, Kathy Nicholl; his son-in-law, Stephen Nicholl; his two grandchildren, Charles and Pierce Nicholl; his brother, Frank Cavaco; and many other friends and loved ones.
Manual never missed an opportunity to give back, a generosity of spirit that is epitomized by his final act: donating his body for research to the medical school at Harvard.
In this same spirit of giving selflessly, and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Wen's Research, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
A memorial service and celebration of Manuel's life will be held at a later date to be announced.
