Marlborough: Special Olympics race offers workday break for a great cause


Marlborough – Special Olympics Massachusetts, a leader in providing healthy lifestyles through year-round sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities, will host its 4th annual Friday 5K road race at the Yawkey Sports Training Center, 512 Forest St., Marlborough, Friday, Sept. 26.


Registration for runners/walkers will be at 12 p.m. The race will start at 12:30 p.m. and finish before 2 p.m. Participants who sign up will receive a T-shirt and a chance to win prizes. Awards will be given to the top female and male runners. All runners will be given bib numbers and the event will be timed. Registration is $25 per runner. Runners can register online or by calling 508- 485-0986. Registration is available now and at the day of the event.
