Hudson – Richard “Richie” Anastas, 73, of Hudson, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at the Reservoir Center in Marlborough. He leaves his two brothers, Charles Anastas of Colorado and Raymond Anastas of Florida.
Richie was born and raised in Hudson, son of the late Angelo and Dorilla (Deshaun) Anastas. He attended local schools and worked for many years with the Department of Public Works in Hudson until his retirement.
He enjoyed being outdoors and looked forward to fishing in his spare time. He was a big fan of the Marlboro Shamrocks semi-pro football team and cherished the time he spent as their equipment manager in the 1960s and early 1970s. He had a unique personality and will be missed by all who knew him.
Besides his two brothers, he is survived by his many cousins, along with his nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend calling hours Tuesday, Sept. 23, from11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a service and celebration of Richie’s life at 1 p.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.
