Region – Charter Communications has announced that it has made recent changes to its services that will affect its customers in many central Massachusetts towns.
Starting on Oct. 14, public, government and educational access television stations in Northborough, Southborough and Westborough are moving to new channels.
- Public access television channel 11 is moving to channel 191
- Government access television channel 12 is moving to channel 192
- Educational access television channel 13 is moving to channel 194
Charter also announced that all televisions its services will require a digital box starting Oct. 14. As part of this upgrade process, customers must take action by acquiring Charter-issued digital set-top boxes for each of their televisions.
Customers can obtain these digital boxes through direct shipment to their home by calling 1-888-438-2427 to request a self-installation kit, or pick up equipment at one of two Charter stores in Worcester. Those stores and hours are:

Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Expanded store hours: Sept. 22 through Oct. 31
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. / Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Expanded store hours: Oct. 6 through Oct. 31
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. / Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
