Shrewsbury: Groundbreaking ceremony for Shrewsbury Library

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Public Library will host a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m., at 609 Main St., to mark commencement of the library’s renovation and expansion project. The library expansion project, which began in 1998, was approved by the Shrewsbury voters one year ago and will increase the size of the library to 38,600 square feet.

The Shrewsbury Public Library will be open to the public, starting Oct. 26, in a temporary location at 214 Lake St. until the new library opens in 2016.
