Marlborough – Antoinette M. “Toni” (Scerra) Abrams, 82, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of George Abrams, who died in 1972. They were married for 27 years.
She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Grasso) Scerra, and lived here all of her life.
In her younger years, Toni worked for the former New England Telephone and later went on to work for the former Data General as an assembler and later as an inspector.
She was a longtime member of the former St. Ann’s Parish, where she was involved with Holy Rosary Sodality and the Third Order of Franciscans. She was also a former member of St. Bernadette’s Church in Northborough, and was currently a member of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Marlborough.
Toni was a true lover of animals, but her greatest love was her large immediate and extended family.
She is survived by one son, Barry Abrams of Marlborough; one sister, Frances Hudson and her husband Gerry of Marlborough; a sister-in-law, Mary Scerra; and many other extended family members. She was predeceased by a brother, Louis Scerra Sr.
Her funeral was held Friday, Oct. 24 in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church of Marlborough, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery of Marlborough.
