Marlborough – There’s a family- friendly haunted house in Marlborough that is free to visit with a donation to the Marlborough Food Pantry. After a successful first weekend Oct. 25-26, the event will run again on Halloween night, Friday, Oct. 31.
Leah Amato, owner of the property, has always loved Halloween. Last year she decided to convert her garage and side yard into a family friendly haunted house. After a successful first year she decided to bring back the popular event with help from her family and a few Marlborough High School girls’ soccer players.
“It started as a hobby, decorating the house and yard for trick-or-treaters, and then it grew into a multi-night event,” said Amato, who gives guided tours herself.
In addition to the haunted house, there are a few kid-friendly games in the front yard and plenty of candy and prizes for the winners.
The haunted house is located at 111 Brimsmead St., Marlborough, and will be open Halloween night from 6 to 9 p.m.
