Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks and the Westborough High School Rangers played a soccer double-header Oct. 27. In the first game, the Algonquin boys team defeated the Rangers 3-1, while in the second game, the Rangers’ girls team topped Algonquin 3-2.
The Tomahawk’s senior Tyler Morin hit a notable milestone. His goal in the first half gave him 100 career points at Algonquin, which he then surpassed by adding two assists to his record. Dom Cianci and Andrew Carlucci scored the other two Tomahawk goals, while Lucas Silva scored the lone goal for the Rangers.
Ranger’s freshman Skyler Barry scored two goals, including the game winner for the girls. Emily Longo also scored for the Rangers. The two Tomahawks goals were scored by Annemarie Moy and Zoe Chang.
