Obit Anna ValeriWorcester – Anna (Ciccarelli) Valeri, passed away peacefully, just shy of her 99th birthday, Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, in Beaumont at The Willows in Westborough. Her loving husband of 65 years, Ernest Valeri, predeceased her in May 2002.

Anna is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Elizabeth A. Wilder of Shrewsbury; a son-in-law, Steven Takacs of Charlton; a sister, Mary Coviello; four adored grandchildren, Sherri Crawford and her husband Darren, Gregory Takacs, Beth Takacs, and David Wilder and his wife Rosemarie; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia A. Takacs, and by a brother and four sisters, Anthony Ciccarelli, Theresa Meleski, Carmella Beressi, Eleanor Johns, and Josephine Ciccarelli.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Joseph and Antoinette (DeNapoli) Ciccarelli, and had lived there all her life.

Anna was a member of Lakeview Congregational Church, and enjoyed gardening and being with her family. She found that the love and closeness of her family is what sustained her throughout her life.

Calling hours for Anna will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 4-7 p.m., in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m., in Lakeview Congregational Church, 115 Coburn Ave., Worcester. Entombment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
