Obit Thomas MillerMarlborough – Thomas A. Miller, 60 years young, of Marlborough, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 10, 2014.

Tom was born Jan. 16, 1954 in Cambridge to Philip W. and Rose C. (Materia) Miller, who later relocated to Marlborough. He was a graduate of Marlborough High School, class of 1972.

Tom’s love of family was matched by his love of music. He was a great musician who played with everyone from Aerosmith to Bo Diddley. He was the founding member of the band Drama, and played along with countless local and regional bands. Although his main instrument was guitar, he was proficient at playing almost any instrument he tried. He was also an accomplished singer, song writer, and arranger. One of Tom’s best traits was being a “Good Friend” who could always be counted on.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joseph E. Miller, and a nephew, Gregory J. Miller.

Tom is survived by his brother, Philip W. Miller Jr. and his wife Rose D. Miller of N. Billerica; his sisters, Cindy Gordon and husband Richard Gordon of Parker, Colo. and Marie Miller of Greensboro, N.C.; and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Miller of Naples, Fla., along with his nephews, Brian Gordon, Doug Gordon, David Miller, and nieces, Susan Henderson, Michelle Heron, Amy Perna and Jennifer Fuller, as well as, his step-daughter, Holly Montgomery; his step-son, Richard Montgomery; and his step-grandsons, Travis Henault and Daven McAndrews. Tom will be lovingly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his extended family, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends.
