Hudson – Jose A. Frade, 62, of Hudson, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester.
Jose was born and raised in Sao Miguel, the Azores of Portugal, son of the late Angelo and Maria (Ferreira) Frade. He had resided in Hudson since emigrating from Portugal in 1969.
He was a former employee of the A.F. Amorello & Son’s Construction Co. for 28 years. He was a member of the Laborer’s International Union, Local 609.
Jose was a longtime member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson and member of the Holy Ghost Society.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sonya Frade and her fiancé Joseph Kane, both of Hudson, and Sarah Frade and her partner Jeffrey, both of Salisbury. He is also survived by five siblings, Angelo Rodrigues and his wife Agueda of Canada, Auerliano Frade and his wife Isabel of Hudson, Juliana Janeiro and her husband David of Hudson, Joao Rodrigues and his wife Estrela of Hudson, and Liberto Frade and his wife Marisol of Worcester; his six loving grandchildren, Eric, Sadie, Marina, Jacob, Josie, and Vivian; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 13, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday Dec. 12, from 5-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
