Obit-Flag_USE-THIS-ONE4Westborough – Oscar L. Gresham, 79, of Westborough, passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital. He was the husband of the late Joan A. E. (Anthony) Gresham.

Born in Midville, Georgia, he was the son of the late Richard and Mattie (Promis) Gresham. He was educated in Georgia schools and was a graduate of Moorehouse College. During the Korean Conflict, he served with the U.S. Army.

Oscar was employed as an accountant for IBM for 30 years. Most recently, he was employed in Asset Protection and Security at BJ’s Wholesale Club in Westborough and Northborough.

He enjoyed aquariums and working on cars, and was an all-around handyman.

Oscar is survived by one son, Ricahard A. Gresham and his wife Lujuana, of Fontana, Calif.; one daughter, Juli-Marie Gresham of Westborough; and four grandchildren, Christal, Jamar, Rickeena, and Rebecca. He was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.

His funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m., in the Congregational Church of Westborough, 57 West Main St. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, Dec. 14, from 2-5 p.m., at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St.
