Hudson schools rank in top school districts across the state

Hudson – The Hudson Public School District was listed in Niche’s 2015 Best School Districts in the Boston Metro Area in a recent study. In the same study, Hudson High School also ranked in the top 100 Best Public High Schools in the Boston Metro Area receiving an overall Niche grade of A-.

As well as being in the top 100 for Boston Metro Area, both the Hudson Public School District and Hudson High School ranked favorably across the state. The Hudson Public School District was ranked in the Top 100 Best School Districts in Massachusetts and Hudson High School ranked in the Top 100 Best Public High Schools in Massachusetts.

Niche provides a comprehensive assessment of schools and districts across the country. It uses a methodology that ranks according to academics, administration and policies, educational outcomes, extracurricular activities, food, health and safety, resources and facilities, sports and fitness, student culture and diversity as well as teachers.

Superintendent Dr. Jodi Fortuna responded to the recognition by stating, “Student life is a very important component of a student’s education. The Hudson Public Schools provide a wide variety of resources to educate the whole student. Our community has supported us with beautiful academic facilities in addition to our outstanding extracurricular and co-curricular offerings. It is wonderful to have received this recognition.”

Brian Reagan, Hudson High School principal, noted that, “Hudson High School is very proud of the diversity of our curricular and extra-curricular programming. Regardless of their interests, students can almost always find an activity that connects them to their school. I truly believe that the high level of extra-curricular participation at Hudson High School has a positive impact on school culture, academic performance, and the overall health and well-being of our students.”
