Marlborough – Supporters of Marlborough Hospital were acknowledged and thanked Dec. 11 at the 14th annual Tree of Light ceremony in the Leahy Conference Room.
Steve Roach, president and CEO, greeted guests and introduced the musical entertainment. Carols were sung by the Whitcomb Middle School Seventh- and Eighth-Grade Chorus directed by Helen Morley.
The tree was lit by Nancy Hanslip of Hudson, who worked at the hospital as a registered nurse, and has served as a volunteer and member of the Marlborough Hospital Auxiliary for over 50 years. Her longtime support was shared by Ellen Carlucci, vice president of development.
“The hospital has been near and dear to Nancy for many, many years,” she said. “Nancy opens up her heart, she opens up her wallet, and she opens up her time to give each and every day when she’s here.”
Lights and decorations on the tree were donated by patients, family members, employees and friends of the hospital. Ornaments can be purchased through the end of the year by calling Carlucci at 508-486-5807.
